The Boy's Hobbies

Well, I guess if the Colonel has a bunch of new hobbies, it's only fitting for the boy to have his own.

Here's a little bit of what my kiddo has been up to lately (besides developing his personality and adopting WAY too much of his mom's temper and impatience...oh boy!).

Sprinkler fun on those scorching Kansas summer days...

Learning how to fly the remote control helicopter (in the house!!)
The first official haircut! Kelly said he was the BEST first haircut she's ever done. I think it was b/c Daddy was holding him on his lap.

100 degree days caused us to break out the new sprinkle pool for the backyard. Thank goodness we have big shade trees to sit under!!

And his newest thing, closing himself in the pantry so he can watch the light go on and off. Apparently, he's not afraid of the dark!!

Such fun times as you watch him discover new things. Special. Thanks for sharing them with us. I don't know what it is about getting into small places and hiding. I remember my son getting under his Daddy's recliner when it was up and poking his head up through the opening.

So cute! Hudson also loves going in closets (or bathrooms) and opening and closing the doors...he thinks he's hilarious!

Hi Sally,

Thanks for the comment. Not sure if you knew, but I worked with Jana back in Bako at Pearseys. We go way back. :-)

The whole acid reflux thing has been tough. My doctor was really hesitant to even prescribe Zantac. I had to beg for it. And when I mentioned something like Prilosec or Prevacid... she said absolutely not. Which is so frustrating because I have heard from SOOOO MANY moms that said it wasn't until they received on of those meds for their baby that they saw a difference. But my doc says she won't prescribe it to babies under a year. UGH.

The Zantac seems to be working for now. It is just really weight sensitive, so we have to get the dosage changed as he gains weight... which is weekly. However, if it doesn't work for long, I am seriously considering switching pediatricians. The only problem is that I have Kaiser, so it would have to be another doctor in the same office... or I have to drive 30 minutes (as opposed to 8 min) to the next Kaiser office. I wish I had the freedom of choosing from any pediatrician. I hate Kaiser.

Anyway... thanks for the comment. :-)

He's SO cute and SO big!! Some little guy over here has quite the temper too but I blame it all on daddy. There is no red head over here who would know anything about a temper! :)

That's right, Sar! Hey, Sally, the boy is SO cute! Probably a handful at this age but so fun, huh? I loved getting to see your nephew a little bit. Hey, when are you coming to town again? I'm ready!
