Remember those chain letters from when we were growing up - where you were supposed to send letters to some person you didn't know, and the whole point was to see how many letters you would get? Then as we got older, the chain letters turned into something where you were supposed to send items to people - dish towels or recipes or something like that.
Did you ever actually do one of these? I never did...I guess you can always use dish towels, but I like to pick out my own. And I don't cook much, so I don't need more recipes.
But, I got a chain letter last week that got me all excited. It was a BOOK chain letter! You are supposed to send a book that you recently read to one person, and then you send the letter to 6 other people, and if they follow through, then you should get 36 books!
I love to read! And since the weather will probably have me hiding out this winter, what could be better than hot coffee, a warm fire, and a great book?
I tried to pick carefully when I chose who to send the letter to. I have a lot of friends, but not all of them are readers like I am. I hope I picked well....and I hope they pick well so that I get a bunch of cool books!
